I see all 3 of their wonderful
personalties in this piece.
battles with minimalism
and uses it at the same time
marble is able to adorn
without suffocating the
the purity of form
same can be said
for leather
"details have been left out,
everything has been reduced to the
most simple technological solution
and still the result is very rich
in ornamentation"
there it is.
seeing these pieces
adolf loos would have
to write a footnote in

ps:
the ultimate uniform
i wear something like
this pretty much everyday.
im embarassed to
report that for the past
5 days I have been wearing
the same button down shirt
and jeans with a wool
cardigan sweater.
it goes like
this pretty much
every week
it makes life so
much easier.
the less you buy
the less you want

One mans eyesore

forget the container store,
all i need is my nylon
chinatown bags
I lug these
all over nyc.
theyre so handy and cool
that I even have them sitting out
in overhead storage.
im digging the
plaid applied
to chairs!
Paola Navone
has done it again.
way more fun than the
eames shell chair.

matthew cusick
lately,
ive had the
urge to stick a
vintage flower
on everything
i make.
especially
on something
that is very pure
and minimal
to make
it explode and
bloom like a flower
...like the virgin
de guadalupe!
it makes me
think of my youth
and going to the sticker
store on pine street
I remember having an
incredible collection
of flower stickers.
i refused to use them.
i would just browse through
them daily and fight the constant
urge in my body to rip off the
back and stick it!
i was quite
a restrained child.
i still am.
once and a while
I have to tell myself to let go
of something precious
or
put it to use
something
that I guard and suffocate
with the routine glance of the eye;
the brush of a finger
theres nothing
worse than curating
objects like theyre
in a museum.
Im guilty
as charged
